William wouldn't go to the church dance (he's too cool, I guess), but he is over there at the church now (it's 12:45) cleaning up after the dance....what a guy!!!!  Melanee went to a friend's house for the first part of the evening to watch movies, but then went later to Off the Wall Soccer, the indoor arena, for a party.  She is not home yet....scary!!!  We watched a tape delayed replay of the ball drop in New York City then William and Bradley banged pots and pans and yelled Happy New Year....just like TRADITION...haha...and just like tradition...one of my soup serving spoons broke in the process.  The reason I say "just like tradition" is because when my brothers and I were kids we would PURPOSELY use the "spanking paddles" as pots and pan bangers when we rang in the New Year...and PURPOSELY we'd hit hard enough to BREAK them.  Oops, is what we'd say!  Yeah, "oops, sorry mom, sorry grandma, guess you can't spank us anymore."  But they'd either have a back up supply or soon buy more, because there were always spanking paddles around when needed!!!!!  Andrew did say 5,4,3,2,1 Happy New Year...but was sound asleep within seconds afterwards.  All he needs is his brown blanket and his head on the pillow to fall asleep.....INSTANTLY!

  1. HAHA Andrew is just like Isaiah, he falls asleep instantly too. Sometimes in the strangest places.

  2. Sounds like a great New Year's Eve to me! We were all together and then split up and went out separate ways. Everyone was eventually home at 2 am.
